In an effort to keep people connected Disciplina Networks now has its own Instant Messenging service. We are running a Jabber server with some enhancements and are currently looking to tie the server into LDAP and to put a webpage front end so that our users can access IM via a webpage. In addition to this we are considering implementing a setup that will enable our users to just login to the web page, provide ALL their IM details (including non Disciplina Networks accounts) and have a single, unified interface to their IM, which can get past any work firewall :) To use the jabber service at the moment please point your jabber clients at: jabber.disciplina.net and pick a userid in the form of : userid@jabber.disciplina.net NOTE: that the service is for ssl authenticated clients ONLY.
